Chapter 1

The sky was filled by a blanket of black cloud. It was always this way since the flash.

Arthur sat on the plastic garden chair and looked to the dark horizon. He lazily scanned the fields and knew he wouldn’t see anything, he never did during the watch at last light. People didn’t travel after dark any more.

So it goes.
