Llynnau Mymbyr
On the A4086 just south of Capel Curig (local haunt for hill climbers) is a lake in two parts, Llynnau Mymbyr.
Its a great spot for sunrise as it’s easily accessible and offers a whole host of different types of shots, depending on weather conditions and time of year etc.
We found it was great for us in late Nov. Although not offering a classic sunrise due to the angle, it did throw up lots of interesting water and rock features and some great skies.
This is just one of many I took that morning. I loved the rocks and clouds on this and the house you can see on the outcrop middle of the frame. The mountains in the background and the little wisp of mist in the left, creeping down the valley made this one of my faves of the trip.
Hi Simon! Do you offer licences for any of your photographs? I’d love to use this photograph on a small commercial web page if possible…
Beautiful picture!
