Shooting my Friends in the Face

I am in no way a professional photographer, I have never been paid for photos and wouldn’t generally ask.

When one of my friends asked me to take pics of him and his fiance for their wedding invite card I jumped at the chance, just cause I knew it was going to be great fun and it would help them out.

It turned out to be a hilarious time! They are both big cyclists and wanted to have a picture of them with a beautiful classic push bike. I had an idea of the location and took them down to the river Thames in Wallingford. The weather was cloudy but I knew if I could capture them looking happy and in love it wouldn”t matter. We messed around on the bike and I tried everything I could think of. Not having done anything like this before it was a learning process for me, but I just tried to keep it fun and keep them involved as we went along, showing them good exmaples of pics as we went.

I think we all enjoyed it and I love some of the pics! I might do more gigs like this, but friends and fam only I”m afraid – its an exclusive club.

    The second photo is fantastic!
Turning it to black and white gave it a really classic feeling, as if taken somewhere in the late 20′ or so.
Beautiful set, Simon. Much better than some “pro’s” works I’ve seen around

Thank you again for all the lovely photos you took of us Si – the whole experience was great fun 🙂

My favourite one is definitely of us standing under the trees, but really I love them all.
