Olympics – Marathon/Basketball

So, my final day with the Olympics was spent on the streets of London checking out the mens marathon. This yielded my favourite shot of the last few weeks above.

After seeing the long distance runners in the City we headed over the airway to the 02 arena to see the mens basketball final.

Because of the crazy rules regarding sponsership all 02 logos were gone or covered up…. bizarre. We all continued to call it ‘The 02’ just to stick it to em! 😉

The match was close to begin with, but inevitably the US took control and comfortably beat the Spanish. But there was great support from both sets of fans and Spain certainly didn’t let themselves down. The problem really lies on the bench for Spain, they need a bit more depth behind the Gasols.

So its farewell to the Olympics, its been an amazing two weeks!
